Homeschool Preschool - Valentine's Day

Painting Hearts
Sweet E initiated this activity on her own. She wanted to do a painting activity, and I suggested hearts since Valentine's Day was coming up. She decided to make a pattern with some of the colors I offered.

Learning Notebook - Heart Matrix
This idea comes from our.littlebubble on Instagram. Instead of kites, I of course made them hearts, to suit our theme. Sweet E loved doing this! Great way to work on early coding skills!

UV Pen Scavenger Hunt - Math
We love using our UV light pens, so I offered a variation on our usual scavenger hunts today. Sweet E searched for hearts around the house, which looked blank. Then she shined her UV light on each, and revealed a number. Finally, she had to match it up to the heart with that many dots. A great counting activity!

Learning Notebook - Number Review
Just a quick, sticker cover-up activity in her learning notebook, to review upper and lowercase letters.

Baking Heart Cookies
Kitchen science activities are a favorite, especially for the holidays. Here is Sweet E helping to bake some sugar cookie cutouts!

Pom Pom Patterns
Making patterns with pom poms, using Valentine's Day colors.

100's Chart - Counting
Sweet E flipped over a paper, and needed to count to that number, as she covered each with a heart. She actually enjoyed this challenge more than I thought she would, and asked to do it a second time!

Learning Notebook - Drawing Prompt
I've seen this activity before, and kids sometimes have such cute answers. Sweet E is a little young, but came up with a sweet response to what love is. 💗

Learning Notebook - Uncover the Heart
This idea came from anniesclassroom on Instagram. I was in a bit of a hurry, so it was a little sloppy, but Sweet E didn't seem to mind. She needed to color all the circles that contained a letter from her name. Doing so would reveal a picture!

Gluing Craft - I Love You to Pieces
Free printable from Laughing Kids Learn. Little M&M had made a confetti cannon to help Sweet E celebrate "Noon Year" so we had a lot of snippets of paper to use up! This activity was perfect.
